Other delivery companies say - Rates are subject to change without notice. How crazy is that? They may even give you reasons, i.e. fuel, air fair, food etc.
We offer a quoted price. That quote is good through a specific date. Therefore our quotes are NEVER changed without notice.
They charge by the day. Then you find out they’re sitting in a restaurant or bar somewhere enjoying the day, the meal & drinks that YOU are paying for when they could be moving the boat. Or they take two weeks to do a one week job to make a little extra money. There is absolutely no incentive for them to save your money using the daily rate method.
Our quote covers port to port delivery, NOT a daily rate. We charge a flat rate for the trip therefore we have an incentive to get the boat delivered rather than taking an unnecessarily slow trip while you pay some daily rate.
We can always offer you a daily rate if specifically requested.
They charge you for food but don’t tell you how much that will be or how expensive their appetites are.
We pay for our own meals.
They expect airfare, rental cars, and nice hotels at every turn.
We make every effort to save your money every step of the way. We’re boat owners just like you. We know owning a boat is not cheap and you don’t like wasting your money. We look at the cost effectiveness of ALL options then choose the one that’s better for you. Travel can be a rental car instead of airplane, rental cars are only rented if truly needed in a port, lodging can and should be inside the boat unless unable or you’d prefer otherwise.
They charge for doing simple running repairs. i.e. adding oil, bleeding air in the fuel system, I’ve even seen charges for changing a bulb.
We do NOT charge for running repairs done by us. If we can do it and we have what’s needed, it’s not a problem.
They charge for a long list of “expenses” and you get a big surprise for a final bill.
We confirm ALL additional expenses BEFORE incurring them so NO SURPRISES to you.
